BRAUNSCHWEIGER PATE 
1 env. unflavored gelatin
1 c. boiling water
2 (8 oz.) rolls braunschweiger
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp. prepared horseradish
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme, undiluted
1 tbsp. sherry or brandy
Party pumpernickel bread or crackers
Parsley sprigs, cherry tomatoes or use ripe and unripened olives

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.

Combine the braunschweiger, cream cheese, onion, parsley, horseradish and pepper, mixing well. Stir in consomme, sherry and gelatin mixture. Pour into a lightly oiled 6 cup ring mold. Cover and chill several hours or until set.

Unmold onto a serving dish. Serve with party pumpernickel bread; garnish with parsley and cherry tomatoes in center of mold, or use the olives. Yield: about 6 cups.
