OLD FASHIONED RICE PUDDING 
1 3/4 c. water
1/2 c. rice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. raisins, soaked and drained
Nutmeg or cinnamon

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Bring water to boil. Stir in salt and rice. Cover; simmer about 30 minutes. Add milk and boil gently about 5 minutes. Combine eggs, sugar and vanilla in bowl. Gradually stir in rice. Pour into greased casserole. Add raisins. Put cinnamon or nutmeg on top. Place casserole in pan with 1 inch water. 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
