NUTTY WAFFLE COOKIES 
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
2/3 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. chopped peanuts or pecans
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
Several drops vanilla
2-3 tsp. milk

Using a pastry brush, brush grids of waffle baker with oil. Preheat baker on medium setting. Beat butter for 30 seconds. Add sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg and milk; beat well. Combine flour and baking powder; add to butter mixture; beating until well mixed. Stir in peanuts.

Drop by rounded teaspoons 2" apart onto hot baker. Close lid; bake 2 minutes. Using fork, lift cookies to a wire rack. Cool. Combine powdered sugar, vanilla and milk until mixture is of a drizzling consistency. Drizzle over cookies. Store in a covered container. Makes 20.
