1 lb. Brazil nuts
1 lb. English walnuts
1 lb. pitted dates
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 jars red maraschino cherries
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Pour sugar over nuts and dates. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt. Add red or green cherries with juice. Separate 4 eggs. Beat yolks and add to the above. Beat egg whites and fold in last. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Very good.
