GRAPE-NUT BREAD 
1 c. Grape-Nuts
2 c. well shaken buttermilk
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. white raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Soak Grape-Nuts in buttermilk for an hour. Beat eggs; blend in sugar and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients alternately with Grape-Nut-buttermilk mixture to the beaten eggs and sugar. Add chopped nuts and raisins. Batter will be quite thick.

Bake in a well-greased loaf pan for 1 hour at 350°F.
