CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE 
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 c. dark Karo syrup
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter, melted with 4 (1 oz.) squares semi sweet chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. pecan halves
1 unbaked 9" pie shell

In large bowl stir first 5 ingredients until well blended. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edges comes out clean. Cool. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
