ONE GALLON OF PICKLES 
1/4 c. Kosher salt
4 c. dark cider vinegar
4 c. white sugar
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. turmeric
4 to 6 sm. onions, sliced
Cucumbers

Slice cucumbers and onions and pack in gallon jar. Mix salt, sugar, vinegar and spices. Bring to boil. Cool slightly. Pour over pickles and cover with tight lid.
