PICKLED BEETS | |
1 c. vinegar 1 c. beet liquid 1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. whole spices, wrapped in a bag Cook beets until tender and cool. Save the liquid beets were cooked in. Remove beet skins and quarter the beets. Combine vinegar, beet liquid and sugar. Bring to a boil and add beets. Place spice bag into liquid and simmer for a while, stirring occasionally. Pack into sterilized jars and seal. |
