PECAN/APPLE PIE | |
1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. ground cinnamon Dash of salt 4 c. coarsely grated peeled apple 1 egg, beaten 1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter, melted 1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell 1 c. chopped pecans Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Add apple and toss gently. Stir in egg and butter. Spoon mixture into pastry shell; sprinkle with pecans. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 50 minutes. |
