PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut in 1/2 inch strips
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Coat meat in mixture and brown in 1/4 cup shortening. 1 3/4 c. water 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 sm. clove garlic, minced 1 tbsp. powdered beef flavored gravy mix

Add above ingredients, except tomatoes (use tomato juice). Cover and simmer 1 1/4 hours until meat is tender. Uncover and stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire. Cut 2 large bell peppers in strips and add to meat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. If gravy is too thin, combine 1 to 2 tablespoons flour with equal water and stir in. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes more.
