CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRY COOKIES 
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Maraschino cherries
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk

Stir flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder, and soda together. Set aside. Beat butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add dry ingredient mixture. Blend well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Thumb print top. Place 1 cherry on each cookie.

In glass bowl, mix chocolate chips and milk, melt. Add 4 teaspoons maraschino cherry juice. Put 1 teaspoon on top of each cookie. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
