5 HOUR BEEF STEW | |
2 lbs. beef stew meat 1 lg. can tomatoes 1 box peas or green beans, frozen 6 whole carrots 3 med. potato cubes 3 med. onions, chopped 1 c. chopped celery 3 tbsp. minute tapioca 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt Generous grinding of black pepper Pinch of thyme, marjoram and rosemary or 1 bay leaf 2 oz. red wine Put all ingredients into deep casserole. Cover tightly and bake 5 hours at 225 degrees. Serves 8. |
