ESTHER'S CHOCOLATE KISSES 
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1 sm. pkg. chocolate kisses
1 c. butter
2 c. sifted flour

Mix butter which has been softened with sugar and vanilla. Beat in flour. Divide dough into 4 parts. Cut each part into 10 pieces. Shape each piece around a chocolate kiss to form a ball. Be sure to cover candy completely. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes until cookies are set but not brown. Let stand a minute and remove to rack. Sift powdered sugar over warm cookies. When cool, sift again with sugar.

These are excellent when made with the new almond chocolate kisses.
