GRANDMA BIRD'S LEMON SQUARES 
2 c. flour
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar
6 eggs
6 tbsp. flour
6 tbsp. lemon juice
Grated rind of 2 lemons
2 c. sugar

Blend flour, butter and powdered sugar and press into ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Build up sides 1/2 inch. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Watch carefully if you use real butter. Beat eggs, flour, lemon juice, rind, and sugar for 3 minutes. Spread mixture on hot crust. Bake about 25 minutes or until no impression remains. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool. Store into refrigerator and cut into small pieces.
