CHEDDAR NUT COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. salted Spanish peanuts
1 c. grated cheddar cheese

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk. Add peanuts and cheese. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. 60 cookies.

CARAMEL ICING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
2 c. powdered sugar

Melt butter, stir in brown sugar. Boil and stir over low heat 2 minutes. Add milk and return to a boil. Cool. Add powdered sugar.
