NUTTY BUTTERSCOTCH CAKES 
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 inch baking pan. Put all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and thoroughly mix them together with a wooden spoon. Pour the mixture into the greased pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top is firm. Cut into squares while warm. Cool to room temperature before serving.
