APPLE GALETTE | |
There are many recipe images out on the internet to get an idea of what this should look like if you wish to look at them before you start choose any 3 large apples, peeled and cored (and cut in halves then sliced) 1 refrigerated pie crust (Pillsbury) 3 tbsp. honey 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon Preheat your oven to 400°F. Mix your cinnamon and sugar together and set aside. Lay your pie crust out on a large rimmed baking sheet.. just in case some juices run out. Make a bottom layer of the smaller halved pieces but stay about an inch away from the edges all around and then drizzle honey over that layer. Top with the remaining apple halves. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the top. Pull the remaining edges of the pie crust up and over the sides of the apples to make a lip. Bake at 400°F for 45 minutes. After 10 minutes slide a spatula under the edges to make sure it's not stick to the pan and continue let cool completely before cutting. Submitted by: Holly Lynn Loussaert |
