1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. cocoa or more
Salt
1 c. water
3 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil together first 5 ingredients until thickened, stirring constantly. Mix in butter and vanilla and spread on cake when hot.
