FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 (15 oz.) can fruit cocktail (undrained)
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Pour into 9 x 13 greased baking pan, then put topping over cake.

Topping:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix. Sprinkle over cake batter and bake slow in a 325°F oven for 40 minutes. When cake is done, make glaze.

Glaze:

1 c. sugar
1 c. canned milk
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Boil until sugar is melted or dissolved and pour over already baked cake. Leave cake in pan.
