BRAN BUNS | |
2 1/2 c. boiling water 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. molasses 2 pkgs. dry yeast 3/4 c. melted lard 3 eggs 1 1/2 c. all bran cereal 1 tsp. salt 1 c. cold water 10-12 c. flour Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water, add 2 teaspoons sugar, pour boiling water over all bran. Add sugar, salt, molasses and cold water. When this is lukewarm, add yeast mixture and beaten eggs. Add flour and melted lard. Knead until smooth. Cover and let rise, then punch down and let rise again. Make into buns and let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. |
