JELLIED ORANGE-CELERY-APPLE
SALAD
 
1 pkg. (3 oz.) orange flavored gelatin
1 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. cider vinegar or lemon juice
3/4 c. thinly sliced celery
Greens
4 walnut halves (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold water
1/4 tsp. celery seed or to taste
3/4 c. finely chopped tart apples
Mayonnaise (optional)

Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water; stir in cold water, vinegar and celery seed. Chill until consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Fold in celery and apples; spoon into four 6 ounce custard cups or molds.
