APPLE - BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. Bisquick
3/4 c. whole bran or whole bran cereal (I use Hodgen's wheat bran)
2/3 c. apple juice
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1 c. chopped pared apple
1/4 c. raisins

Grease bottom of 12 medium cups or use baking cups. Mix all ingredients except apple and raisins. Fold in apples and raisins. Divide evenly among cups. Bake until light brown 21-23 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. Makes 12 muffins.

High Altitude Directions (3500 to 6500ft) Heat oven to 425°F instead of 400°F. Decrease brown sugar to 1/4 cup.
