OLD FASHIONED TEA CAKES 
1 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter or 2 sticks butter
2 eggs
2 tbsp. buttermilk
1 scant tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix, adding enough flour to make a stiff dough. Then set aside. For 1 hour. Roll on floured board and cut and bake at 400 degrees until done.
