DANISH PUFF 
FOR CRUST:

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. cold water

Knead butter and flour together like pie crust and add cold water to make dough. Pat onto cookie sheet in 2 separate pieces.

FOR NEXT LAYER:

1 c. water
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
3 eggs

Bring butter and water to a boil. Remove from stove, add flour. Beat with spoon until smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each 1, until smooth. Spread on top of the 2 pieces of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Don't open oven door. Cool. Frost with vanilla frosting, decorate with cut up cherries and nuts.
