JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. salad oil
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. orange juice
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
4 to 6 med. apples, sliced thin

TOPPING:

5 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. crushed walnuts

Beat all ingredients (except topping mix and apples) together. Slice apples thinly, combine topping mix ingredients. Grease and slightly flour tube pan. Pour 1/2 batter into pan. Arrange half of the apples over batter. Sprinkle with topping mixture. Pour remaining batter on top.

Top with apples and remaining cinnamon and sugar and nut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Test with toothpick.
