PECAN PRALINES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. half & half
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecans

Combine sugar, cream, and soda. Cook until hard ball stage. Remove from fire; add butter and vanilla. Beat until cool. Stir in pecans. Drop by tablespoons on waxed paper. When firm, wrap each praline in plastic wrap. Makes about 2 dozen.
