PECAN PRALINES 
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1/2 tbsp. vinegar
4 c. pecan halves

Put to boil sugar, water and vinegar until syrup makes a soft ball when dropped into cup of cold water, put in pecans, cook until syrup forms a hard ball in cup of cold water. Have ready large platter or pans greased with butter, drop large spoonfuls of mixture about 6 inches apart, and let them cool. When hard and cold, run knife under each praline and put on plate.
