KOLACHI (Rolls) 
6 c. flour (not more than 7)
1 c. sugar
1 c. table cream, scalded
1 c. Crisco
6 eggs, room temperature
3 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar

Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar. Sift together flour, sugar and salt. Add eggs to cooled table cream and yeast mixture. Work with hands to form soft dough. Cover and let rise in warm place for 2 hours. Roll out and spread with filling. Roll up jelly roll style. Raise 45 minutes. Brush with egg beaten with 2 tablespoons water. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until brown. Yield 6-8 rolls.

FILLING:

4 c. walnuts, shelled
1 c. sugar
Milk
1/4 c. butter, melted

Grind walnuts fine. Add sugar, butter and enough milk to make thick paste.
