BEST NUT ROLLS 
2 sm. cakes yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1 c. warm milk
1/4 lb. melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve 2 small cakes of fresh yeast in 1 cup warm milk. Add sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, and beaten eggs. Then add 4 1/2 cups of sifted flour.

Mix into a dough; round into a buttered bowl and butter the top. Cover with a tea towel and let rise for 1 hour. Divide dough into 3 pieces. Makes 3 rolls. Fill as for cinnamon roll. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Brush with egg yolk mixed with 1 tablespoon water.

NUT FILLING:

1 lb. shelled walnuts
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg white
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. melted butter
Canned milk

Grind nuts in food grinder. Add sugar and egg white with remaining ingredients. Put in enough canned milk to spread easily.
