PORK CHOPS AND APPLE SLICES 
4 pork loin chops (about 1 inch thick) well trimmed
2 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 tsp butter
1/4 tsp nutmeg
salt and pepper

In skillet, brown pork chops quickly; drain well. Arrange a layer of sliced apples in crock pot, then a layer of pork chops; repeat. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Add salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 9 hours. 4 servings.
