WHOLE WHEAT PRETZELS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tbsp. water
1 egg white

Dissolve yeast, sugar, salt in warm water; let stand 5 minutes. Combine flours and cheese in large mixing bowl. Add yeast mixture; beat at low speed of electric mixer until well blended. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth (5 minutes). Cut dough into 32 pieces, shape each into ball. Roll each ball on lightly floured surface to form a rope 14 inches long. Twist each into a pretzel shape; place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray. Combine egg white and water; mix well. Brush each pretzel with egg white mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Yields 32 pretzels; each 71 calories.
