BUTTER DIPS 
1/3 c. butter
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 - 1 c. sharp cheese, grated
1 c. milk

Melt butter and pour in 9"x13" baking pan. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cheese and add milk, stirring slowly. Turn out on floured board. Knead 10 times. Roll into 12"x8" rectangle 1/2" thick. Cut into 16 strips and cut once down the middle of rectangle. Dip both sides of sticks in butter. Sprinkle with garlic, onion powder, celery seed or salt. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
