FRENCH STEW 
2 lb. round steak, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
6 carrots, peeled and cut in short strips
1 c. celery, diced
3 med. onions, cut in quarters
2 slices bread, torn
3 tbsp. tapioca
1 tbsp. salt
1 lg. can tomatoes, cut up
Lg. pinches of thyme, marjoram, and rosemary
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
1/2 c. burgundy wine

Place all ingredients except tomatoes, peas, in roaster or crock pot. Pour tomato juice and cut up tomatoes over all. Bake at 275 degrees for 4 hours. Add frozen peas and wine and stir. Bake for 1 hour more.
