CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING 
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
2 eggs
3 c. scalded milk
1 tbsp. Crisco
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped (optional)

Beat eggs, add bread crumbs, milk, Crisco, sugar and salt and mix well. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a greased baking pan and bake in 325 degree oven for 45 minutes or until firm. Serve hot or cold with whipped cream. (Also, can be cut up into squares and served in a bowl with milk.)
