1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. hot coffee
2 tsp. baking soda
3-4 c. flour, approx.

Mix and roll in sheets 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 350 degrees about 15 minutes. While warm, cut into squares. Then frost with Confectioners' Frosting. Very good. This is my Grammie's Great's Grandmother's Recipe.
