BREAD PILLOWS 
2 c. wheat flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
Oil for deep frying

Beat egg and milk together and add dry ingredients. Work again with hands until it forms a ball. Cover dough and let sit 20 minutes. Divide dough into 4 pieces. Roll each piece into 8 inch circles and then cut circles into quarters. Lower one wedge of dough into oil. As soon as it rises to surface, turn and continue to cook until puffed and browned. Drain and eat with honey or jelly.
