HAWAIIAN SALAD 
2 c. crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
Dash of salt
1 pkg. unflavored gelatin
1/4 c. boiling water
1 pkg. whipped topping
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (softened)
Mandarin oranges (garnish)

Combine pineapple (including juice), sugar and salt. Cook for 10 minutes. Let cool. Mix gelatin and water together. Let cool until syrupy, then combine with pineapple mixture. Mix whipped topping as directed on package or use equal amount of prepared whipped topping. Cream the cheese and mix with whipped topping. Mix everything together and chill. Top with oranges.
