APPLE KISEL
1 1/4 lbs. peeled and cored apple
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 tbsp. potato or cornstarch

Slice peeled and cored apples; add water and cool until apples are soft. Drain the apples and measure the liquid. Dissolve starch in a small amount of cold water and add one cup of apple stock. Mix thoroughly.

Add sugar and apples to the remaining apple stock and bring to a boil. While boiling, add starch mixture very slowly and mix well. Slowly boil for 3 minutes. Remove from fire and pour into individual serving dishes. Cool thoroughly. Top with heavy whipping cream or ice cream. Serves 4 to 6.
