APPLE BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. milk
1/4 c. nuts
1 c. finely chopped apples

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and beat. Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, milk, nuts and apples. Stir only until flour is well dampened. Pour into 9 x 5 x 4 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Cool. Remove and pour glaze over loaf. Allow to dry and wrap tightly.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix and pour over cooled bread.
