ITALIAN CHEESE PIE 
CRUST:

3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. plus 4 tbsp. flour, sifted
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten

FILLING:

1 lb. cream cheese
1 1/2 tbsp. flour
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Crust: Sift flour and baking powder together; add sugar. Mix in shortening with fingers. Add beaten egg. Pat into 9 inch cake pan, covering bottom and sides of pan.

Filling: Mix cream cheese and flour well. Add eggs and sugar gradually. Slowly add milk and vanilla. Mix well and pour into crust. Sprinkle top with cinnamon, if desired. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
