PESTO AND CHEESE FRENCH BREAD | |
1/2 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. freshly grated Romano or Parmesan cheese (about 2 ounces) 2 tsp. prepared pesto sauce 1/2 (1 lb.) French bread loaf Combine first 3 ingredients in small bowl. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover tightly and refrigerate). Preheat broiler. Halve bread lengthwise. Broil cut side up until beginning to brown. Spread each half generously with mayonnaise mixture. Broil until bubbling and beginning to brown, watching carefully. Cut crosswise into 1 1/2 inch pieces and serve. |
