SWISS CHEESE FRENCH BREAD | |
1 fat long loaf French bread 1 c. soft butter 3/4 tbsp. dry mustard 2 1/2 tbsp. finely chopped green onion (tops too) 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced Swiss cheese, cut into triangles Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Slice bread in 14 to 16 pieces (do not cut all the way through). Mix butter, green onions and mustard. Spread on bread. Put Swiss cheese slices on each slice of bread. Spread any leftover butter on the outside of the bread. Wrap in foil. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Open foil and continue for 10 more minutes to brown the bread. |
