1 lg. loaf French bread

SEASONING MIXTURE:

1/2 lb. softened butter
2 tbsp. grated onion
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. beau monde seasoning
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. poppy seeds
8 oz. sliced Swiss cheese

Slice bread lengthwise. Blend butter with seasonings. Spread mixture on bottom half. Spread cheese slices. Replace top of bread and slice diagonally, almost through. Wrap in foil and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Can be frozen before baking.
