HAWAIIAN MEAT BALLS 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 c. diced celery
2 carrots, grated
1 (2 1/2) can pineapple chunks, drained
2 tbsp. salad oil
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. vinegar
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 med. jar maraschino cherries, drained

Form meat into walnut sized balls. Brown vegetables and pineapple in oil. Remove from pan. Brown meatballs. Mix cornstarch and water. Combine with all remaining ingredients, except cherries. Add vegetables and pineapple to meat. Pour sauce over meat balls. Add cherries. Simmer 30 minutes until sauce is thick and clear. Serves 5-6.
