DATE MUFFINS 
2 tbsp. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
2 tsp. salt
2 c. hot water
3 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 c. oatmeal

Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Mix together dates, salt and hot water. Add flour and oatmeal. When cool enough, add yeast. Stir well. Fill muffin cups half full. Let rise until double.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. NOTE: May have to add 1/2 cup more water to get right consistency.
