MOM'S NUTMEG LOGS 
1 c. softened butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. rum
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
3 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt

FROSTING:

1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. rum
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. cream
Nutmeg

Cream together butter, vanilla, rum and sugar. Blend in egg. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to butter mixture and shape into long rolls 1/2 inch diameter and cut 2 inch long. Bake on buttered cookie sheet, 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost with frosting and sprinkle with nutmeg. A good cookie for Christmas.
