FRIED SHRIMP AND ONION RINGS 
Beer, hot, cold, canned or bottled any brand will do
Bisquick
Shrimp, peeled, deveined and butterflied
Very large onion

Peel, slice and separate onion into rings. Soak in ice water. Make a batter with beer and bisquick. Drain onion rings on paper towels and pat dry. Dip into batter and fry in hot oil. Turn when brown on underside and brown other side. Drain on paper towels. Repeat procedure with shrimp. This batter works on all vegetables as well.
