SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE | |
2 sticks butter 1/2 c. vegetable shortening 3 c. sugar 8 oz. sour cream 6 lg. eggs 1 tbsp. lemon extract 1 tbsp. vanilla extract 3 c. all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt Cream butter and shortening well. Add sugar slowly. Then add sour cream and let stand for 10 minutes. Beat in eggs and flavorings. Mix flour, soda, and salt and add to batter. Beat for 4 minutes. Grease and lightly flour 10 inch tube pan. Pour in batter and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325 degrees or until cake tests done. |
