SAVANNAH SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
6 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour (not self rising), sifted
8 oz. sour cream
1/4 tsp. baking soda
Dash of salt
1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream butter and sugar together; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Sift flour and add 1 cup at a time beating well after each cup. Add remaining ingredients and beat well. Pour into greased, floured and lined bottom pan. I use an angel food pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Delicious plain, or, if you like, you may frost with chocolate or lemon frosting. Serves 10.
