INEZ'S GRANNY CAKE 
1 (16 oz.) can pie cherries, packed in water
1 (16 to 22 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cube butter, melted
1/2 to 1 c. chopped pecans

Empty entire contents of both cans of fruit in ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Stir to mix fruits. Spread the box of the cake mix (dry) over fruit mixture. Pour melted butter over the top to seal. Top with chopped pecans. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
